I have had my copy of "The Book of Jesus" for half a year, and I have read it with careful attention, underlining passages I found striking, taking 60 to 90 minutes 5 or 6 days a week. I began at the beginning, planning to read straight through, but as Easter approached I skipped ahead.

Dick Bain in Virginia ~ I wasn't raised a Christian; I had a vague belief in God, but no idea of his nature. I had heard of Jesus of course, but I didn't know much about him. Then I read the life and teachings of Jesus and he became a real person to me; a person who lived and faced struggles like all of us do but dealt with life's problems with kindness, grace, and wisdom. He is the sort of person that we all would like to have for a friend. But I also learned that there is a divine dimension of him that transcends and precedes the merely human. He not only revealed the spiritual potential we have as human beings, but he also revealed God in the way he lived his life so that we might know the true nature of our Paradise Father. And that nature isn't one of an offended monarch; Jesus central message was that God is love. Jesus helped define and make real to me a personal God who was only a vague notion to me before. What a debt I owe my elder brother, Jesus! But he has told me the way to repay this debt: Love God as he loves us, and love and serve my fellow mortals. And how grateful I am that the story of Jesus' life can be read in The Book of Jesus. Now all the world can know the God revealing life that Jesus lived here on our troubled planet.

This book carries the highest spiritual ideals and it carries the highest concept of divinity. It reveals the presence if God within all mankind hence making all equal before the creator.
